About the event
Embodied Soundscapes is an interdisciplinary concert project exploring the interplay between body, movement, sound, and technology. The project brings together composition, live performance, and interactive electronics, using sensor-based garments to translate the musicians’ physical movements into sound and musical processes in real time.
The programme features works by Travis Johns and Paulina Velázquez Solís, both guests from Cornell University, as well as Bern-based composer Teresa Carrasco. The ensemble brings together violin, harp, saxophone, electric guitar, and percussion, creating a diverse sonic palette in which acoustic instruments, physical movement, and electronic processes interact to shape the performance in real time.
