About the event

A work in five movements for flute, saxophone, and electronics, inspired by rare fragments from the Cairo Geniza.From the thousands of manuscripts discovered in the Geniza, we selected five pages containing Hebrew writing exercises and began an ongoing dialogue between sound and image, between music and brushstrokes.
